What is it?


  • HydraDKP is a World of Warcraft utility package for the Hydra Guild.
  • The package consists of a native application and an in-game addon suite.
  • The application installs and updates the addon suite, fetches DKP data from the guild site and launches WoW.
  • The package currently provides support for EQDKP Plus based DKP systems.

    Note: The package is preconfigured for the Hydra Guild and provided as is. Feel free to adjust it for your own use.

Download & Installation
  1. Download and install Java 6 (or greater).
  2. Download the addon package linked above and extract it to a location of your choice (not inside the WoW folder). 1)
  3. The launcher does not need to be installed, you can run it from the folder you extracted it to.
  4. Execute HydraDKP to have it update the DKP data from the guild website, install the latest addon version and launch WoW. 2)
1) On Windows Vista don't use the "Program Files" folder to avoid problems with user account control.
2) Also make sure "World of Warcraft" is installed in a folder where the launcher can update the addons without running into any UAC conflicts. On Windows Vista best avoid the "Program Files" folder alltogether.


Usage


  • The HydraDKP launcher will update the addon data from the guild webpage, install any addon updates if necessary and fire up WoW.
  • Use the Settings application included in the HydraDKP package to configure advanced options of the launcher.
  • Once WoW is launched either use the command /hdkp in game to see what you can do with it or open the standard WoW addon settings dialog.
